This is about the last blog, I am happy to spend such a happy time with the instructor and everyone. From this class, I learned a lot of useful knowledge, such as the concept of PLN and Digital Identity, the difference between Personal Digital Identity and Professional Digital Identity, etc.
The last blog I want to discuss two main issues with you. Can your PLN be used to help professional development post-course? And can your PLN be relied on to open professional opportunities?
I think my PLN is something I can use to help with professional development after the course. Because I learned how to do an initial orientation review of each software as well as a platform in this class, I was able to find the knowledge as well as skills I wanted to acquire from the different learning platforms. As I mentioned in my previous blog, my major is ECON, and I sometimes use YouTube and other video software to find and study relevant knowledge when I am a bit vague about the concept and a bit unsure about the solution of the topic. For example, the solution and application of P-value, the definition of unbiasedness, and so on. Through the PLN study, I know how to find these materials or ways that are beneficial to study faster and improve my efficiency, which will benefit me a lot in my future study life. Not only that, through this course, I also met many students with the same major who discussed and studied with me and did group work.
PLN will also serve as an opportunity for me to start a major in the future. Now that I am a forth year university student and facing the decision to apply to graduate school. If I don’t know the major or have any questions about it, I can use the short video software to learn about the different majors at different schools to choose from. In addition, if I am interested in a major that I want to study ahead of time or prepare for, I can use PLN to kick off my new major opportunity study.
